Taking place at the cultural landmark of Germany, Stuttgart Festival was near to many cinemas, museums and cultural spots, and therefore it was quite natural to have a great atmosphere. And because of the festival’s great appeal, it really gathered most of the animators in town and from the rest of the world, therefore provided me plenty of opportunities to communicate with people in the same industry from other parts of the world.
My short film “Taste the Life” was screened outdoor during the festival. The outdoor screening was held at a large green yard with an enormous LED screen. It was absolutely a spectacular experience to have my film presented to filmgoers and animators from around the world at such a nice spot.
Apart from participating in the “Focus Hong Kong” section, I also joined other screenings and performances delivered by other artists, and exchange ideas with other directors and animators. It’s a pity that I couldn’t join the pitching session due to time limitations. I would definitely come to this festival again in the future!
