Remarks shared after Festival

"Being able to communicate with audiences in some other places is an extremely wonderful thing. Sometimes some film festivals do not have enough capability to afford shortlisted directors air tickets and hotel accommodation, and directors would also feel the same stress if they are affording the fee themselves. Sometimes some film festivals do not have enough capability to afford shortlisted directors air tickets and hotel accommodation, and directors would also feel the same stress if they are affording the fee themselves. Thus NAE is offering an absolutely awesome funding to Hong Kong directors, which assists the promotion of Hong Kong’s outstanding short films and directors externally. Although I participated Women Make Waves Taiwan for one day only this time, I could still sense the passionate interest of local audiences on female-directed long and short films, whichever makes me further realize, the importance of nurturing a strong film-appreciating atmosphere to the audiences."

"Thank you NAE for sponsoring this trip to
the golden horse film festival. It's the biggest event I have ever attended . I was such an honour to be here representing our nominated short film, and wittiness the director to receive the Best Live Action Short Film. This award is very important for our team and it really
encourages us to keep going on this path on the film industry. During the trip, we met a lot of
young directors and it’s very enjoyable to share ideas and talk about films with
them.

I think the most memorable moment for me
when I am preparing to walk through the red carpet. So many stars and directors
are waiting with me and in a way it makes me question myself if I really do deserve this honor. This
time of reflection make me think of what I have done? who am I? am I hard
working enough? It helps me recognise my work and
effort in 2019."
