Only when he found out that his colleague handed over to him the wrong computer, should he start to think about possibilities besides submitting to authorities from Mainland China. "South Taiwan Film Festival has accumulated years of organising experience, hence their promotion and arrangement are both very considerate. This film festival emphasises very much on original works. Meanwhile Tainan greatly highlights on culture and art, that pays special attention on alternative video arts. There are also many venues for short film screenings, where comparably Hong Kong provides less places for that. Taiwanese audiences are very sensitive to Hong Kong’s political situation, hereby the film provided them discussion resources, and further understanding about Mr. Lam Wing Kee. I used to think Taiwanese audiences were already having deeper understanding on Hong Kong’s political situation, but it turns out that they are not very clear about the political difficulties faced by Hong Kong people. Having the film selected and myself invited by the festival offered a great opportunity for us to talk about films and politics, and to mutually support each other. The support and encouragement from our Taiwanese friends also made us, creators from Hong Kong, feel much less lonely, as if having more companions to withstand the arduous future together. And lastly thanks to NAE for giving support which made this exchange visit come true."
