It’s my
first time coming to Clermont Ferrand International Short Film Festival. I’m
really impressed in terms of everything, the market, the screenings, etc. I
walked around the city and I really felt the cinematographic culture. I’ve seen
a couple of screenings: Taiwanese and Quebec market screening. Both are
amazing. I’m seeking for projects with Quebec corner, since I was born in
Montreal in Canada.
When I come
back to Hong Kong to start my filmmaking career, I started by going to the
masterclass hosted by Hong Kong directors. Many established film directors were
our tutors. It was really good to have them as mentors. Also I’m fortunate
enough to have professional actors in Hong Kong to join my project.
It’s a
great learning and inspiring experience for me. I hope my future work can lead
me back to here. And I always like great conversation with people. During the
festival, you can find people from everywhere, and from all nationalities.
English became so limited here. In Clermont, cinema becomes a language, we link
to each other.
