“As an animator, visiting Annecy International Animated Film Festival & Market (Mifa) has always been my dream as it is the largest one of its kind with the most diverse films and the most amazing atmosphere! I am more than grateful for this opportunity from NAE!
Although it was a short stay, I grasped the opportunities of meeting people from the world’s leading animation corporates and talked with professional animators. Also, I participated in different talks and seminars to learn about animation techniques and script-writing. This helped me understand more about financing, the difficulties in producing feature films, as well as gaining inspirations for my future works..

In addition, it was a precious experience to go on this festival trip with a group of Hong Kong animators representing our works in a Hong Kong short film screening. During which We had quite some meaningful exchange of our experience on making animation in Hong Kong and I can feel that our relations and interaction had been strengthened and enhanced.
This trip was very fruitful and truly widened my horizons on animation. Local directors taking part in Mifa will surely bring more dynamics and enlightenment to the animation industry in Hong Kong.”
