Synopsis |
A man wakes up from a stupor, disheveled and bloodied-faced, amid the wreckage of a birthday party to confront the reality of what has happened. As he begins picking up the pieces of his life and salvaging torn pages of diary entries, his mind travels backwards and forwards to the chain of causation leading up to the event that changed the course of his life and his significant others, one of whom is making a return visit. Is the state of being alone a choice or a matter of dealing with inevitability? Unfolded in a coalescence of vivid motifs, flashbacks that at once idyllic, melancholic and traumatic, Too Alone offers a wealth of subtlety and nuance with a quietly disturbing resonance, culminating in a narrative shift that invokes the senses and tugs at the heartstrings. |

Remarks shared after Festival visit
|
“The festival is focusing to reshape the world of cinema with the
tagline "fiercely independent”. The filmmakers are showing their unique
work and really stir up my feelings with writing a solid character and storytelling.
Directors and audiences here are enthusiastic, people here are very nice and
taking the initiative to share their opinions with me, I am thrilled with the
audiences and the lively Q&As. And the festival provided us many conversations panel and parties so
that short, feature, doc and animation film directors are grouped together. It
is an absolutely nice exchange opportunity to share how independent filmmaker
express their film with their perspective and how they reshape the world
cinema. For over a hundred years, Woodstock has been a
place of dreams and magic because of the famous music festival, the atmosphere
here are associated with a qualities spirit and attitude, such a good place to
share art and life.”
