“The NAE supported me in the trip
to KLEX2014 thus I had chance to approach the audience in Kuala Lumpur. It's my
first time to bring my documentary works for screening there and got much
positive rewards from the audience. The audience's response is out of my
expectation. They are keen on discussing the documentary work of me and very
encouraging comments to me. They like documentaries very much. By the way, the
organizer also arranged the event very well, this is also a support to me as
visiting to a place I've never visited before, the reception helped me to
commit in the Festival so that had a good time to interact with the audience.
Only flying to the city for screening and encountering with audience by
yourself can find out the real responses directly, helping me in future
production with their comments. The positive feedback is also a driving force for
me to walk on in my career. Face to face interaction for screening event is
then so important for independent directors.”

Experimental Film and Video Festival in Malaysia, under the sponsorship of NAE.
