“HONG KONG SHORT FILM: NEW ACTION EXPRESS” Local Short Film Highlights and Seminar on Pitching Strategies for Film Festivals and Markets
Production fund raising and project collaboration seeking may be a few of vital challenges that most young filmmakers struggle with. “HONG KONG SHORT FILM: NEW ACTION EXPRESS” hereby invited filmmakers and professionals to share in the seminar their experiences on pitching strategies and further network expansion at international festivals and markets. By sharing individual foresights to industry fellows, the seminar brought together young filmmakers and professionals in the industries to examine potential addresses for filmmakers’ further development and creation.
Screenings on local-awarded short film titles were held along with the seminar. Over 20 local short films that had been exposed to various festivals overseas were brought back to offer the audience special online film screenings. Directors also shared their experience and inspiration gained from the overseas festivals at the after-screening discussions.
